SUPPLEMENTS FOR A HEALTHY WOMAN AGE 40-60

Given the limited nature of products that are currently available, here is a reasonable set of supplements to be discussed with a physician, linked to pages where dosage is discussed. ANY WOMAN WHO MIGHT GET PREGNANT should be getting 400 iu of folic acid daily, probably as a supplement to be certain.

Eat a good diet with plenty of fruits and vegetables. One particularly needs vitamins B6, B9, and B12. If you don't get enough veggies, consider a B-complex, but be sure it contains Folic Acid, B9, as many do not.

There is likely advantage to obtaining the vitamin E containing gamma-tocopherol.
