LONG NOTES: Niacin supplements (vitamin B3) have tremendous benefits. Preclinical and clinical evidence of NAD+ precursors in health, disease, and ageing: NAD+ replenishment through NAD+ precursors has great potential as a therapeutic target for ageing and age-predisposed diseases, such as Alzheimer’s disease. The hormetic health benefits of luteolin: The total amount of flavonoids combined should not exceed 1.5 g/day, In conclusion, luteolin (alone or together with quercetin) could have significant protective effects in conditions involving inflammation. Vegetables and fruits such as celery, parsley, broccoli, onion leaves, carrots, peppers, cabbages, apple skins, and chrysanthemum flowers are luteolin rich.  It enhances neuroprotection in various experimental model disease systems, improving wounding healing, especially in experimental models of high-risk population subgroups, such as diabetics, as well as enhancing osteogenesis in models of osteoporosis. The mechanistic basis for the luteolin-induced hormetic dose responses has been demonstrated to commonly involve the upregulation of the nuclear factor erythroid-derived 2-like 2 (Nrf2), which mediates the extensive range of anti-inflammatory effects induced by luteolin in multiple cell types and organ systems. • Luteolin is a flavone present in numerous vegetables and diverse plant species.

Luteolin and quercetin are generally considered safe and may be more appropriate to use as antiinflammatory agents than the steroid dexamethasone. However, most of the dietary supplements available contain various luteolin formulations that are very confusing and sometimes outright misleading. Such supplements are marketed as “bioflavonoids,” “citrus flavonoids,” and “luteolin complex,” with dubious amounts of luteolin, often mixed with high amounts of the less effective and much cheaper quercetin glycoside rutin

Dream recall frequency(DRF)  was higher than pre-pandemic levels across four continents.
