Disability to Death: At 10 years before death, 93% of the elderly were free from any Activities of Daily Living (ADL) disabilities, and only 4% reported more than three ADL disabilities. At 6 years before death, an average of 10% of the participants had more than three ADL disabilities, and at one year before death, moderate to severe disability increased to 38%.

Rapamycin increases osteoarthritis. https://arthritis-research.biomedcentral.com/articles/10.1186/s13075-021-02637-1 This is the first study to show that Rap induced increase in plasma glucose was associated with greater OA severity. Further, articular cartilage mTORC1 inhibition and bodyweight reduction by dietary Rap and Rap+Met did not appear to protect against primary OA during the prevailing hyperglycemia.
