Astragalus

I now take astragalus as part of a supplement plus probiotic supplement plus probiotic food program currently evaluating. Puritan’s Pride brand, one 470 mg capsule about every 2-3 days.  Re this conservative program – I’m taking a number of others and careful not to overload with too many supplements containing binders and fillers – and have been told some supplements contain unknown ingredients not on the label. Suggest the Kaufmann Protocol is worth knowing about and implementing. It’s suggested as part of the protocol, rated 3 (highest) for DNA Protection, 2 for the security system (immune system), and 1 for individual cell needs.  Page 290 of the book The Kaufmann Protocol goes into it in some detail.  It says the astragalus plant is composed of over 100 individual, active  chemical components including flavonoids, saponins, polysaccharides, and  amino acids, and the most notable component isolated from astragalus at the moment is cycloastrogenol.   It was released by a couple companies as TA-65. Re dosing, on p 318 the book says ASTRAGALUS  TA-65: 100 to 250 units/day  Cycloastrogenol 5 to 25 mg/day. Astragaloside IV 50mg/day. Johnny
