The evolution of Nutrition Investigator Roc

Dear colleagues in our search for optimum nutrition and healthspan,

Please indulge me as I share my past and future expectations for 2019.  I have shared that I moved, was cutting down on reading, and hoping to send essays rather just headlines. After a single essay, my life changed a lot.

I have been studying human aging for decades, and currently there are four theories I accept linked here. Through my research on nutrition and aging, I was recently selecded to the Gerontological Research Group, GRG, a group of about 500 MD and PhD authorities interested in maintaining human healthspan.  I conducted a survey of what supplements they take, as I did years ago with nutrition investigator readers like you, and of the Linus Pauling Institute conference on nutrition participants.  None of those surveys showed any consensus on any nutritional supplement! Even experts cannot agree on what is medically/scientifically justified.

After developing bladder cancer years ago, you may recall I developed a way to prevent its recurrence based on a clinical trial with Beloit College students. I assembled a team of surgeons and experts, but have been unable to secure funding for a clinical trial. A close friend/patent attorney suggested and filed a provisional patent on my idea for a supplement, suggesting sales of the supplement could fund the clinical trials.

I contacted a supplement company I have worked with in the past, MDR, and have been working to develop a product that will prevent that cancer recurrence, also likely to have many other benefits. So 1) I am working hard to get that tablet produced.  And 2) I am working on a research presentation for the next Linus Pauling meeting in August.  And 3) I want to have a marketing brochure about the product for the meeting.

To my surprise, when I contacted MDR about making the anti-cancer tablet, they offered to make another tablet for me, one of my own design, containing whatever ingredients I thought should go in a daily nutritional supplement. So suddenly, 4) I am designing my ideal nutritional supplement to complement products MDR already is selling.

Then two days ago, I had yet another idea. It is a systematic way to figure out what nutritional supplements are sensible to consume, nicknamed Nutrition Consensus. So 5) I am developing that system.

Projects 1, 4, and 5 are likely to generate income, and allow me to substantially improve my website that has serious troubles due to software changes since leaving Beloit College.  And I hope to develop materials to share at the August meeting to let others know about 1, 4, and 5, which I will share with you then.

So after August 20th, I hope life will settle down. Until then, I ask your patience. Please note my signature quote.
