Coffee, but not caffeine, has positive effects on cognition and psychomotor behavior in aging. Here is a video by the researcher:

Coffee is associated with reduced risk for diabetes – 8 cups help more than 4 which are better than 0. Coffee consumption appears to have beneficial effects on subclinical inflammation and HDL cholesterol.
